<h2><u><font color="#336699">Modeling Technical Architectures</font></u></h2>

<p>The technical viewpoint is used to describe the structure and the properties of the hardware/software
platform of the system under design. This viewpoint provides the following models to define the
technical architecture of the system.</p>
<p>Note, that some of the models are mutually exclusive. Depending on the use case (e.g, code generation,
design-space exploration), different models (typically not all) are used to describe the technical
architecture of the system.

<ul>
<li><i><a href="platform_architecture.html">Platform Architecture</a></i>: A platform architecture
describes the hardware architecture and the resources of the system. It is required in all use cases
for which a technical architecture model is required. AutoFOCUS3 supports to model different hardware
platform architecture.</li>
<li><i><a href="task_architecture.html">Task Architecture</a></i>: This architecture enables to
specify the entities to which a logical architecture is mapped during the deployment to a
HW/SW platform (e.g., an RTOS). </li>
<li><i><a href="partition_architecture.html">Partition Architecture</a></i>: The partition
architecture abstracts the services provided by hypervisors (segregation of software entities by
means of time-space partitioning). </li>
<li><i><a href="allocations.html">Allocations</a></i>: The allocation model is used to define
mappings between the following following viewpoints:</li>

the schedules for all resources referenced by the given allocation.</li>
