Quantitative Valuation for Safety
Currently, GSNs do not support quantitative evaluation.
The task is to implement the technique described in:
Duan et al. Representation of Confidence in Assurance Cases Using the
Beta Distribution, in IEEE High Assurance Systems Engineering Symposium
(HASE 2016), Orlando, Florida, USA, January 7 - 9, 2016.
- Instead of a gsn elements being instantiated or not, it has two integers: tasks-completed and total-tasks.
- Computed values are: belief, desbelief and uncertainty
- Edges shall support a weight for the quantitative evaluation of branches;
- A goal shall also contain a check box and a weight for security assessments. If checked, a security assessment will have an impact on the belief, desbelief and uncertainty of the gsn element according to the weight of the security assessment.
