Hierarchical Platform: Connection compositor overhaul
The following problems should be addressed:
- The implementation of the connection compositors is overly complicated
- Element-to-element connections (with automatic creation of ports) does not work anymore
- There are outdated connection compositors (due to the complicated architecture). See e.g. !29 (merged)
